Most likely, the testing site location is going to be freezing. Dress accordingly.

The dry erase board they provide doesn't erase well. Be cautious of your use of space.

Get a good night's sleep, these are long tests.

This is an online test. Be prepared to be in front of a computer screen! (Also, essays are typed)

There will be other people in the room typing on a computer- so be prepared for clicking noises. (You can ask for headphones) (Sometimes they will provide you with earplugs)

Nothing can be brought into the testing room with you. If you bring belongings they will be stored in a locker.

Eat breakfast.
Bring snacks & water to the test to have during breaks.

Either show or hide the clock on the screen. Know what works best for you.
Flag questions you are unsure on & return to them. Don't waste too much time. Go back and review at the end!

For General Knowledge, the writing section comes first. Be prepared to write an essay first thing!

The math section comes last for the General Knowledge & K-6.

For professional education test, when in doubt, answer it from a "prinicpal's perspective".

When your tests scores are released- SAVE THE PDF! It will expire after 60 days, then you will have to pay for it.

Take lots of practice tests!

Take advantage of the breaks given to you, go out and stretch your legs. Give yourself a second to breathe.

There are multiple testing locations you could go to! Be sure to check out the location prior to your test day, including the parking situation! Make sure you know where it is.

On the drive to the testing location, listen to a good playlist!

Try to take your exams over Winter or Summer Break so you don't have to worry about studying for class and the exams

If you cannot afford to buy the FTCE Prep books, don't worry! The Proctor Library has tons that you can borrow!

If you feel uncomfortable sitting next to two people or at a certain computer, just ask if you can sit in another location before you get inside the testing room. They know that you are going to be sitting in an area for a long time and will try their best to make sure that you are more comfortable.
